Terms of Service

By accessing or using DonorBridge ("the Platform") at donorbridge.world, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms apply to all visitors, donors, cause partners, and anyone who accesses or uses our Services. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform following posted changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

DonorBridge is a philanthropic platform that connects donors with verified charitable causes. Our Services include: • A discovery platform for browsing verified causes • Secure payment processing for donations • Donor account management and donation history • Impact reporting and cause updates • Corporate giving programmes We act as an intermediary between donors and cause organisations. DonorBridge is not itself a charitable organisation in most jurisdictions, unless explicitly noted for specific campaigns.

To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Donations from sanctioned countries, entities on financial blacklists, or for purposes that violate applicable anti-money-laundering (AML) or counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations are strictly prohibited and will be refunded or reported to relevant authorities.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at donation@donorbridge.world if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. DonorBridge is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have not taken reasonable steps to protect your credentials.

All donations made through the Platform are final unless we determine an error occurred during processing. We do not provide refunds for completed donations, as funds are disbursed to cause organisations on a rolling basis. In exceptional circumstances (technical errors, fraudulent transactions), please contact us within 7 days at donation@donorbridge.world. Donation amounts are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Foreign currency conversions are handled by your payment provider and DonorBridge is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations. DonorBridge retains 3.7% of each donation to cover platform operations, payment processing, and compliance costs. This fee is disclosed at the point of donation.

DonorBridge conducts due diligence on all cause organisations listed on the Platform. However, we cannot guarantee the conduct or performance of any cause organisation. While we take reasonable steps to verify legitimacy and financial accountability, DonorBridge is not liable for how cause organisations utilise donated funds beyond the information provided in their own impact reports. If you become aware of any misuse of funds by a cause organisation, please report it immediately to donation@donorbridge.world.

You agree not to use the Platform for: • Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading purposes • Money laundering or financing illegal activities • Donations on behalf of sanctioned individuals or entities • Creating fake accounts or impersonating others • Attempting to circumvent our security measures • Scraping, crawling, or automated access to our Platform without consent • Any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international law Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement authorities.

The DonorBridge name, logo, website design, and all associated content are the intellectual property of DonorBridge and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written permission. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at donorbridge.world/privacy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

The Platform and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DonorBridge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of donations, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you to DonorBridge in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Our Platform integrates with third-party services including payment processors and analytics providers. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. DonorBridge is not responsible for the conduct or content of third-party services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, cause organisations, or DonorBridge. You may delete your account at any time by contacting donation@donorbridge.world. Deletion of your account does not affect the processing of any pending donations.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. For disputes involving consumer rights in the European Union, applicable EU consumer protection legislation shall take precedence.
